Look, maw! It’s me!

Le Artist

Nymfir is your average (probably?) illustrator/graphic designer currently residing in Southern Ohio. I live with my husband, 2.5 cats, and my paternal grandpa. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts which makes for a handy coaster! Growing up, I was exceptionally into traditional art and that didn’t change when I went to university. I started using Photoshop in 2005 and my mum bought me a drawing tablet a few months later. I spent 3 years at an advertising firm that creates screenprinting, embroidery, signage, engraving, and promotional items. I can set fancy arts up for print and know the difference between CMYK and RGB (definitely different types of pencils, right?).

As of July 2019, I started a great endeavor with my husband called Nerdile Art! My muted-tone illustrations soon became cute kawaii animals. I currently take commissions for these types and a few other things that you can find on the Nerdile website.

Exhausted People Comic

Exhausted People is really your average, everyday type of comic. The idea came to me in late 2017, but I shoved it into the darkest recesses of my mind. I had tried creating comics before (more fantasy and more story) that eventually got abandoned, because -wow- do I have no chill. So starting up a new comic was really the last thing on my mind. Fast forward about a year, I decided “why not?!” and came up with the first panel of EP. And, of course, because of my no-chill, what started as a way to pass time eventually evolved into a full-blown style. In late 2019, EP started gaining momentum and soon became a full-colored comic. I often take this style on the road to conventions for commissions. Currently, EP is still gaining in popularity with its cute style and my tendency to create full-colored works in no time at all. Eventually, I hope to follow in my predecessors’ shoes and create my own book.
